Wrestlemania 28 News: Brock Lesnar in Miami!

Yes folks, it is true! ‘The next big thing’ is expected to make an impact at Wrestlemania 28. The rumor mill has it that Brock Lesnar recently signed a 1-year contract with the WWE which enables him to take part in this year’s Wrestlemania.
Brock Lesnar was the hottest star in the WWE during his initial stint (2002-04). However, he lost interest and tried different options like NFL and UFC. He subsequently announced his retirement from UFC in December 2011. This had fuelled rumors of him making a comeback to the WWE but it didn’t happen. Apparently, the time has come now for Brock to enter into the squared circle again.
Brock Lesnar arrived in Miami, Florida yesterday, just a few hours before Wrestlemania 28. He was flanked by a lot of security personnel shielding him during his arrival. WWE hasn’t made any sort of announcement regarding Brock Lesnar’s return or his participation in Wrestlemania.

If Brock Lesnar is going to take part in Wrestlemania, there is a possibility that he will be gatecrashing one of the two big matches on the card. The first one would be the biggest match on the card ‘John Cena vs The Rock’. A few days ago, The Rock was asked about possibly taking on Brock Lesnar in a match. The Great One gave an interesting reply,
“I’m not saying a thing,” said a grinning Johnson with his eyebrow raised after being asked about a possible encounter with Lesnar. “I didn’t say anything.”
The Rock may have been aware of WWE’s negotiations with Brock Lesnar during that point of time. But it might just be speculation.
Another match that Lesnar could interfere would be the End of an Era match between Undertaker and Triple H. The confrontation that Lesnar and Undertaker had in early 2011 had fueled rumors of a possible Wrestlemania match between them. By interfering this time around, those two could possibly face off at Wrestlemania 29.
With WWE eager to announce a marquee match for Wrestlemania 29 very soon, there is a high probability that it might involve Brock Lesnar. Even if Lesnar does not appear at Wrestlemania, he may make an appearance on the Raw after Wrestlemania on Monday.
If Brock comes back at Wrestlemania, it is likely that he will be a regular in WWE fixtures for the next 12 months leading up to Wrestlemania 29. ‘The next big thing’ is sure to make an impact during this period.
Get ready to be surprised at Wrestlemania!

Emmaneul Adebayor: What Tottenham missed all these years

After 60 minutes into the game between Tottenham and Swansea at White Hart Lane,  the scores were tied 1-1. Up steps Van Der Vaart to take a corner for Spurs. The delivery was impeccable, and next thing you know, it was in the back of the net.
Tottenham were leading 2-1, and a quick burst of counter-attacking finds Aaron Lennon in possession. He skips past the defender with amazing agility and whips in a delicious cross, and it is promptly dispatched into the goal.
The man in the spotlight, who has scored a brace with two brilliant headers, is none other than Emmanuel Adebayor. He has scored 13 goals for Spurs in the Premier League, and has contributed numerous assists. Redknapp must be congratulating himself on possessing such a world-class player among his ranks, but must be deeply worried when May arrives. The entire Spurs community (the fans, Board) are breathing down his neck to make Adebayor’s loan deal permanent.
And why shouldn’t it be? He has found a new lease of life here, and is immensely enjoying his football. Gone are the days when you would see a sulky Adebayor throwing tantrums and falling out with coaches. The Adebayor of Tottenham Hotspur is an ever-smiling figure who consistently delivers for the team and helps them rake in notable wins.
Consider the match against Newcastle. Match previews suggested that it was going to be  an evenly-contested affair, with both teams being in form and possessing some talented players. But after 90 minutes, the scoreboard read Tottenham 5-0 Newcastle.  What happened? Did Newcastle just shut off? Did they lose heart? In reality, the Toons put up a brave fight, but were outclassed by the magical foursome of VDV, Modric, Bale and of course Adebayor. The most astonishing piece of news about this match is that he contributed four assists, three more than what Stewart Downing has managed in the entire season.  Spurs raced into a 4-0 lead at half-time, and all four goals were created by him. Innovative through-balls, sublime crosses. You name it, he did it. He linked up the play beautifully, often spreading the ball out wide for Bale to whip in inviting crosses. He ran rings round the defence, picking out team-mates with astonishing accuracy.
Adebayor has added an extra dimension to his play while at Tottenham. In addition to being the target-man (owing to his height and heading ability), he also facilitates the transition of the play from midfield to the strikers. Modric dribbles into the opposition half, passes it to Adebayor, who either lays the ball out to the wingers and runs into the box to meet the resulting cross, or just sublimely dinks the ball over the defence, where Saha, Lennon and VDV are there to pick up the ball and have a go at goal. 11 assists are a lot for a striker in his first season at a new club, and with wizards like Modric and VDV, it is an achievement.
In my opinion, he deserves every penny of the 200,000 Pounds he earns per week, and it would be really foolish of Harry to let him go. In every club that he has played in, he has met success and good fortune. Adebayor is one of the greats of modern football, and whatever may be his off the field attitude and problems with the system, all that is covered up when you see him execute the role of  a striker and creator to absolute perfection.

5 future stars of International cricket

5 future stars of International cricket

Virat Kohli:There has been a lot of talk about this promising youngster from Delhi in the past few weeks. A few of them have already touted him to be the only person to actually try to match Sachin’s one day record for number of centuries scored. Though Virat has been quite regularly in the news for his bad on-field and off-field behaviour, his batting and fielding have made those things look really petty. This 23 yr old has already scored more than 3500 runs at an amazing average of 50 in the shorter version of the game. He has also been promoted to be the Vice Captain of the Indian National team. Though he is yet to establish himself as a very good test batsman, he definitely has the right mix in him to lead the national team in the next few years to come.

Dinesh Chandimal: When you ask senior cricketers like Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene and Tillekeratne Dilshan who they think the next big player from their island nation is going to me, the unanimous answer they will give is Dinesh Chandimal. Dinesh has done no wrong in proving them right with a fantastic series at Australia. He averages 38 and is currently touted to be the most technically sound batsman in the current lineup after Jayawardene and Sangakkara. He is also an amazing wicketkeeper and can any day take over as the team’s next leader.
Kane Williamson: In the recent past, the New Zealand batting lineup has been one of the most inconsistent among all the test playing nations. Though they boast of big names like Guptill, McCullum, Ryder, Ross Taylor, there has been absolute inconsistency in terms of their performances. There is this one lad who, at a mere age of 21, has shown a lot of promise and grit in this lineup. Williamson though does not have a lot of international experience having just played around 40 matches at this level, he has shown immense promise in becoming an excellent cricketer. An amazing fielder and a more than handy off spinner, Williamson is a brilliant prospect for his team and definitely would be a huge star in a few years to come.

AB De Villiers: The most charismatic batsman after Kevin Pietersen to have taken the field. AB has been really prolific with the bat averaging close to 50 in both the shorter and the longer versions of the game. His athleticism is terrific and he is improving as a wicket keeper. He has become a full time wicketkeeper in the shorter version of the game to accomodate an extra player in the lineup. His amazing performances have already received a lot of rewards and he was recently appointed the captain of the South African cricket team in the shorter versions of the game. His amazing energy on the field and rapport with his teammates has really boded well in him becoming the skipper.

Andre Russel: The Caribbean side after the series against the mighty Aussies have gained a world of confidence. This team is showing a lot of promise and the major contribution to this has come primarily from Keiran Pollard, Andre Russel and their skipper Darren Sammy. Russel has been a fantastic find for the Windies since the last year. He has been an amazing all rounder. He averages close to 28 with the ball and about 32 with the bat, scoring at more than a run per ball. He being just 23 makes him a brilliant prospect to look out for in the near and distant future. His nonchalant batting and quick bowling clearly marks him as the next best thing to happen in West Indian cricket.
Well, there are a lot more young talents who are making their place and position count in their national teams. Just because they have not featured in this list does not mean they are any less good than these 5. The likes of Umar Akmal, Vernon Philander, Angelo Mathews, Adrian Barath and a lot more also very promising and have a great future ahead. I am not feeling very bad to lose Rahul Dravid or Ricky Ponting from the cricketing scene because, though no one can fill their shoes, there are definitely people who can atleast come close to achieving such heights.

I am also writing on IPL 4 please suggest some ideas.....

Back in January, I wrote an article about the battle to be considered the world’s best goalkeeper, a title that different people give to various different goalkeepers around the world, but there is no outstanding winner.
The same goes for the right back position, as there are a lot of contenders but no player is widely considered to be the best right back in the world.
In this article, I’ll give my opinion on who are the top five right backs in world football from fifth to first.
5. Bacary Sagna

The Frenchman’s importance to Arsenal’s team simply cannot be understated. His consistently solid performances for the North London club has added his name to the long list of Arsene Wenger’s successful yet relatively cheap signings. His assured, collected style of play means Sagna often frustrates wingers as he is hardly ever out of position.
These traits mean that he is widely considered one of the Premier League’s most reliable and trustworthy players, a very different regard to the one a lot of his fellow Arsenal defenders are held in.
4. Philip Lahm
A Bayern Munich player since the tender age of eleven years old, Philip Lahm has developed into a magnificent defender, at left back as well as right back. He’s one of the first names on the team sheet for both Bayern and his national team- Germany- and has won the Bundesliga an impressive four times, as well as having appeared in the final of Euro 2008.
Despite being only 1m 70cm (5 ft 7 in) tall, his strength and determination makes Lahm, very difficult to get past. Indeed, he has all the hallmarks of a great right back and at just 27 years of age, his career should just keep getting better for years to come.
3. Sergio Ramos
In many ways, Sergio Ramos is the epitome of a modern right back. Athletic, energetic and technically capable of putting in a fantastic cross every now and again. A testament to the natural ability of the Spaniard is that many people think that he is better playing at centre back rather than right back, yet Real Madrid and Spain certainly do not look elsewhere for a right back.
His dou
bters say he is too rash in his tackles, but his importance and natural quality can’t be denied.

2. Maicon

When people think of Maicon, they think of his renowned attacking prowess which would rival almost any right midfielder in the world. However, the 30 year old Brazilian is also a superb defensive player and his pace means that no matter how far he goes up the pitch in an attack, he often manages to get back to defend his goal.
Many feel that Maicon’s best season was the 2009/10 season, where he produced some outstanding displays, both from an offensive perspective and a defensive perspective. These performances helped his side- Internazionale- win the treble, the Champions League, Serie A and the Italian Cup.
1. Dani Alves

For many years, Dani Alves was rumored to be one of the world’s most promising right backs, and when Barcelona signed him from Sevilla in 2008, they did so at the envy of all the world’s top clubs. Yet the price of the signing, €32.5 million, meant that there was a great deal of pressure on Alves from the start. This didn’t seem to worry Alves though, as in his first season with Barcelona he quickly established himself as one of the club’s top right back.
Now in his fourth season at Barcelona, Alves has won an incredible 3 La Liga titles, two Champions Leagues and one Copa del Rey. His pace, technique, energy and bamboozling runs means, in my opinion, there is no better right back in the whole of world football who is better than Dani Alves.
Who do you think deserves a spot in this list and who should they replace? Do you think certain players on the list should be higher up or perhaps lower down?
